About me

Welcome to my home nature garden website. I believe in the idea of the garden as a sanctuary for nature – and for you. Consequently, I will provide inspiration, practical tips and solutions so you can create and enjoy your home nature garden.

Why a home nature garden is important

Nature gardening involves more than perennials and shrubs, it is also about creating a sanctuary for a variety of wildlife so they can shelter and thrive in your garden. Such as, dragonflies, damselflies, frogs, newts, toads, and grass snakes that inhabit the secret world of your pond. As well as, bees, flies, wasps, beetles, moths and butterflies who gather nectar from flowering plants and inadvertently pollinate them. Additionally, the insects that live amongst your logs are food for birds, hedgehogs, moles and mice. Not forgetting, slugs, worms and snails that break down the contents of your compost heap. These creatures in turn, are food for frogs, toads, hedgehogs and passing birds, and your resident robin. I will help you to encourage this wildlife biodiversity in your garden.
